The Full Story
ADEME (the Agency for Ecological Transition) is a public organization created in 1991 and is resolutely committed to the fight against global warming and resource degradation. This public institution is now under the supervision of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation
ADEME is involved in many fields such as energy, air, circular economy, food waste, garbage, soils, etc. Its role is to coordinate, facilitate, animate or carry out operations to protect the environment and the energy transition.
More specifically, it is involved in financing research and innovation for numerous projects, and it sets up communication campaigns to raise awareness and change people's behaviour in the area of environmental problems. It provides expertise and advice to support decision-makers in their projects and facilitate their choices.
Finally, it provides graduated types of financial support and promotes the implementation of regional and national references.

Present in France and overseas territories, it is also active on the European and international
scene. Thanks to its expertise, it is able to act close to the ground. It enables companies to move towards a resource-efficient, low-carbon, fairer and more harmonious society.
